Diane Patterson Music

Award-winning songwriter, folkgoddess Diane Patterson subverts the dominant paradigm with rocking acoustic guitar and ukulele, a mighty pen, and a woman's voice. Since 1994, Patterson weaves her original Mystic Acoustic Americana and unifying stories, planting seeds of love and revolution. Diane’s 6th solo album, Satchel of Songs, was recorded in New Orleans with platinum record-producer Mike Napolitano and features amazing supporting musicians such as Ani DiFranco, Terence Higgins, Todd Sickafoose, Barbara Higbie, and Joe Craven.

Diane opened shows for the inimitable Ani DiFranco in summer '19 and autumn '22. She tours winters in Hawaii and summers in Scandinavia, and house concerts are her favorite venues for the intimacy of song and story. She played folk guitar in church as a kid, and now her songs come from visions of equality, and passion for wild forests. Check out Diane’s recent music video for her 20-year-old song in solidarity with the Navajo resistance against extraction, Ballad of Big Mountain, all filmed around the sacred and stunning Diné/Navajo lands. Summer 2023 Diane returned to Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Poland for a 3-month musical tour, followed by October Pacific Northwest, USA.
