Jersey’s beautifully cacophonous five -piece The Artwork Of have just released their new EP The Road Ends//The Road Never Ends. As usual, the band self-produced the project creating yet another new sound, despite a sudden line-up change, turning their signature brand of “noisecore” into what fans are calling “a more mature version of themselves.” Frontman Kevin Marcoux explains that “the concept behind this album was an added chapter to the Derek storyline that we gave people a taste of before we lost the core group that originally made up the band...it was a much needed addition after the fact to end the old era of The Artwork Of and begin the new.” In the past, The Artwork Of has been described both on stage and off as “the new Nirvana” by Butchers Block Entertainment both in body and soul, with live shows demostrating a seemingly endless amount of energy and anger: “It doesn’t take a whole lot to make me upset,” Marcoux explains, “I’ve found out very recently that the smallest of problems can be bothersome and apparently be enough to ruin a good day.
