About the Family Soul
The Family Soul is a horn-fueled soul band from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The project began in 2017 as a backing band for the original music of band leader Soul Brother Mike. The group has since honed its unique sound, growing its repertoire to include a carefully curated selection of hidden gems found in the genres of blues, soul, and funk.
The group is comprised of many of Windsor’s top musicians, from Soul Brother Mike (Michou, Walkervilles), to saxophonist Kelly Hoppe (Big Sugar), vocalist Crissi Cochrane (singer-songwriter), and a number of University and theatre trained musicians, including trumpeter Austin DiPietro (Coffee House Combo, Bishop Boys).
