Buffalo Tom

Fan for decades and this was my first time seeing them live!

Great to see the mighty Tom. Hopefully it won't be another six years before they grace the UK again.

Amazing show! It was evident they were having so much fun playing and we won as the audience.

Great show! I have not seen them in a while, and they are every bit as good as I remember! Played a selection of hits from the past and mixed in some new ones too. Their playing has improved over the years they really are at their peak!

Excellent show, great to revisit this band after a few years...definitely still got it!

We drove by at 7:45 with the entrance line still stretching over 100 yds down Comm Ave making this was the most packed Buffalo Tom show since we first 'waited for an answer, but we waited for 25 years'. Chris walked in when we did around 8:10, and no more than 10 minutes later, they were playing. This show was raw like 30 years ago, with a full catalog of songs, all the favorites like Tree House, Tangerine and the magical I'm Allowed, Bill's guitar screaming through solos and Tom's drums steadily pacing new ones like All Be Gone and classics Velvet Roof, The Bus from 1986, also with guest star Hilken Mancini helping with backing vocals and the harmonica solo on Kitchen Door sounding like the original, and with many of Chris's quiet-start songs like Late at Night, Rachael, Twenty Points, Taillights Fade and ending with a 7 song encore including a brand new song New Girl Singing and finally the ethereal Frozen Lake. It was a show for the ages, jam-packed with songs old and new, Buffalo Tom crushing it again at the Paradise, and it looks like they're here to stay.

Zorba Music Hall was electric, the guys had some fun with the distinctive features of the Zorba room, although disco mirror ball lights going around the room might have worked for Late At Night, possibly an executive decusion, maybe next time. It could have been 25 years earlier as Bill, Chris, and Tom continue to perfect this poetic rock odyssey, this party where we know not one person there, more than moments locked in time in 'Driving excitement' or 'Just do it' ads, or 'My So-Called Life' episodes, or even first dance wedding songs like Kitchen Door (oh yes we did, thanks for that one), this night of New England Rock Royalty, the guys charged through an awesome set of all favorites, this thing they do, this thing we love. This is - Buffalo Tom.

Band sounded amazing. Great venue. Started early, ended early. Always good to see them live.

With so many great songs to choose from you can’t go wrong. Great personality too. Try not to wait another 27 years to next time.
