Lawrie has been working in both the foreground and background of the music industry over the past two decades with her album being a testament to the transition from underground Brisbane rock chick to the music professional she is today. In early 2016, she suffered a monumental challenge that had her embark on a healing journey as she recovered from a near-fatal fall from a balcony that broke her back.
