About İncesaz

İncesaz is a Turkish group.

İncesaz was founded by Murat Aydemir, Derya Türkan, and Cengiz Onural in 1997. Their first album, bir/Eski nisan, was released in 1999, followed by an album for the Turkish television series İkinci bahar. In 2001, bass player Akın Aral joined the group,and they released a new album called iki/eylül şarkıları. In 2003 they added percussionist Engin Gürkey, and released üç/İstanbul. Their fourth album, dört/Mazi Kalbimde Bir Yaradır (2005) involved performances of traditional and classical Turkish music. In 2006, Türker Çolak (nephew and student of Engin Gürkey) replaced Engin Gürkey. Their fifth album, beş/Elif (2007) has Turkish folk music performances. They are currently working on their new album,altı/Tam Zamanı.
