About Clear The Auditorium
Their last EP explored the concept of a possible prediction of World War Three in ‘2021’. South Wales' Electronic Rock quartet Clear The Auditorium return with ‘The Final Broadcast’. “It continues the ongoing theme of a futuristic world at war from our previous release” says frontman Dafydd ‘Taf’ Richards. “It brings forth the concept of a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland and rebellion against a tyranical superpower that formed in the wake of the world war”. The fallout of this apocalyptic event is a tidal wave of energy, rage and ruthless breakdowns, complete with synthesiser parts running rampant through the sonic structure like a charge of resistance. The Final Broadcast paints a crisp image of the EP’s concept, taking strong lyrical influence from bands like My Chemical Romance, infusing electronic and rock genres akin to modern contemporaries Enter Shikari and Linkin Park, and utilising a similar retro-futuristic aesthetic to the Fallout video-game franchise. The release is designed “to create a mental image for the listener and to tell a story, a reminder of a very possible and frightening scenario.” Says Dafydd, “the songs have underlying metaphoric meanings, cryptically relating to more personal real life experiences”. Having secured supports with heavyweights such as The Blackout, Yashin The Qemists and Blitz Kids, Clear the Auditorium’s reputation for a fierce live show catapults them to the forefront of the South Wales scene, leaving a tantalising taste for more on the tongues of those who have bared witness to their hectic and unpredictable live performance. R.I.P. 2011 - 2016
