About Granola Funk Express
GFE is an eight peice funk band, featuring 3 MC's and one singer. Their music is mostly bass heavy dance music, ranging in topics from political to party oriented. The group uses everything from the traditional, drums, bass, keys, etc. to samples, drum machines, turntables as well as other electronic equipment to develop their very unique & original sound.
Over the years they have worked with George Clinton, Bernie Worrel & many other P-Funk All Stars, as well as Masta Ace, Eric Krasno, Tame One, El the Sensei, GrandMaster Caz, and more to blend hip hop & funk into something all it's own.
The band has four full length albums and individual members have released a total of nine solo releases & collaborations. They have been touring nationally since 1997, and continue to do so. They are currently working on their fifth group effort.
