As always Kamasi and his band were brilliant. I had not listened to his new album yet so went in not knowing what to expect. I was very happy.

To see a musician of such magnitude and relevance smiling from ear to ear as he gives the floor to each one of the exemplary performers in his band, is to see a gentle genius at play. I’m not even that into jazz, but the way the music fuses with beats and rises and falls like a story is magnificent. I wish I could go again. The runtime seemed to be shorter than in other countries….a Singapore thing? Capitol Theatre is a gorgeous venue.

The show was fantastic! Kamasi was amazing and super communicative!!! All the musicians were exceptional and of course the DJ was unique!
I feel grateful for attending this show 🎷🎻🎧🎶🎵🎙️🎹

Kamasi and his band are amazing artists and musicians.
But the show wasn’t that good — first, it was delayed by an hour, and then it was clear they were very tired.
Most of the time, they were sitting wherever they could, and a large part of the show consisted of extended solos for each instrument.
Anyway, only because of Kamasi’s stature is this excused.
The audience was warm and welcomed him and the band with enthusiasm.
We hope to see him again in Athens under better circumstances.

Kamasi is a CLASS ACT. The show is fabulous in every aspect and the fact that his father also plays in the band adds a whole new dimension. The piano player is simply divine as is the DJ. This band are TRUE musicians. I booked them cold, had never heard of them, I simply liked their look on a poster! My hubby and I are now true fans and we will go to their next concert. All of the group are pure artists in every sense of the word. We had an amazing time and it's obvious the group were concerned to give value for money; they worked SO hard. Thank you Kamasi. We are now true and loyal fans. Can't wait to see you guys again.

Amazing! He and his band really enjoy giving a concert. So many artists that I have seen lately, seem to only play because they have to. I really liked that everyone in his band has an opportunity to shine.

Great experience, good sound and amazing performance. Too bad i had a gallery seat that only let me see half the stage. Looking forward to your next visit to Norway!

Great performance and incredibly talented musicians. One slight dissapointment was they they played only the songs from the latest album and none of the older songs.

DJ FREAKIN BATTLE CAT!!!!!!!!!! Tony Austin Gas. Miles Mosley gas. Ricky Washington gas. Brandon Coleman gas. Kamasi Washington Gas! Singer lady with the nice hair gas. I’ve been a fan since I was 13 I’m 22 now! Look there my favorite contemporary jazz group and they’ve spawned some of the best musicians period! I’m just a little bummed Ronald Brunner didn’t make it. Other than that it’s pretty awesome better than the previous time they were here. Mostly because of Brandon Coleman and Miles Mosley, oh my god they were brilliant.

THIS is a BAD MAN with a PHENOMENAL and extraordinarily talented band, including his father on flute. Great 1:45:00 show and diverse crowd which seemed to love and appreciate Kamasi’s work as well.

Incredible, gifted artists creatively creating incredible music. Kamasai Washington demonstrates amazing leadership in attracting gifted artists providing a plan based on his compositions then allowing each to add their own creative influence on the musical tapestry. The result was a complex, multi-level and complexly woven aural landscape, rich and beautiful in its complexity, joyous in its adminstration. The concept of "sheets of sounds" associated with the great Coltrane becomes "waterfalls of sounds" in Washington's hands. The freedom experienced in his music and his leadership of the band reminds me of the experience of a Sun Ra concert. I cannot wait until he returns. I eagerly await his new musical explorations. A great man making great music

his tribute to roy hargrove literally brought me to tears. i love how he bends the style of his original recordings to create moments just for the audience to savor and possibly never hear again... it was a religious experience.

Amazing! So much talent and soul from everyone on stage, including the opener. Had me grinning ear to ear and high fiving strangers in the balcony.

Great show. Powerful, powerful, powerful. The band was excellent, vocals soulful, Kamasi was epic. Two drum kits? Yeah, and ya felt ‘em. Keyboards rocked and ripped. Bass was phenomenal, bow work blew my mind. Porter on trombone superb in tandem with Kamasi and solo. Don’t miss this show if it comes to your town.
P.S. Victory Boyd gave a beautiful and moving opening act performance. Check out her EP.

The man is great as he’s turning a new generation of young folks who grew up listening to hip-Hợp to the best Jazz heard in years. Unfortunately the acoustic was simply awful and some of the nuances got lost in one of the worst venues I’ve seen in years.

Loved experiencing Kamasi Washington and so much of the West Coast Get Down thru Re Run, Truth, Street Fighter Mas and Fists of Fury and more. So good. Kamasi transcends always. Patrice Q and those vocals. Brandon C and those keys. Miles and that bass. Ryan and that slide. Yo. See them in this lifetime.

Kamasi and his band are amazing ! Unfortunately the sound mix was not great at the Hollywood Bowl. Also you have Herbie Hancock playing the second part of the show and can get the young and old generation to jam at least once? Wasted opportunity.Still Thanks for Kamasi keeping Jazz alive!

The show was amazing! Far exceeded my expectations. I'm very grateful to be a part of that audience. The only reason it's not a full five stars is because some members from the album were not there.
