About Somewhere South of Perfect

Somewhere South of Perfect is a Pop/Rock quintet from Columbia, Missouri. Forming in June of 2011 from a blend of several former projects by James Bohner, Will Miller, Andrew Snell, Mitch Canote, and Andrew White, the midwest natives headed for Dallas to create their first studio recording. After working with producer Geoff Rockwell (Forever the Sickest Kids, Artist Vs Poet, School Boy Humor, Memphis May Fire, Crown the Empire), SSOP recorded their first collective six-track project known as the "What Happened to Love?" E.P. which was then digitally released in November 2011 alongside their hit single "Be Careful What You Wish For." "Be Careful What You Wish For," which peaked at #2 on Twitter's TFAT, was released for free download and streaming several months prior to the project's release. SSOP recently recorded another project scheduled to released in April or May 2013. The three-track E.P. will be their second professional project with Geoff Rockwell. SSOP is now booking shows and tours in 2013 and is looking to elevate their midwest status to the national stage. SSOP is a fresh new blend of energetic and catchy pop choruses mixed with flashy elements of electro, moving instrumental breakdowns, and thought-provoking lyricism inspired by an underlying background of pianism.
