BIO
Red Halo is one of the hardest working touring bands in rock. The presence of classic American style guitar rock sound is solid and transformed in their hard hitting original songs and, their own versions of classic rock and roll covers. The dual guitars, and pounding bass and drums during live shows is paired only by the amazing light show they can provide. The seasoned veterans of this band, careers of some spanning over thirty years is demonstrated by their tremendous stage presence.
MTV Artists Red Halo has released two albums. Their debut HERE WE COME, and, produced by award winning national producer Andrew Chervak, the follow up, RISING. In addition, the videos for their hit singles Fly Me Courageous, Coal Mines and Whiskey, and Never Gonna Change can be seen on the MTV Artist site, YouTube, on many other online sites, and on the cable television channels MTV, and VH1.
Red Halo can be heard on the internet radio stations Ourtown Radio, XRP Radio (UK), and on Jango Radio. They can be found on Reverbnation, as well as terrestrial radio stations in the continental United States and Great Britain. Name: Al Dobson
Instrument: Bass Guitar and Vocals
Influences: Paul McCartney, Gene Simmons, Geddy Lee
Al is accomplished musician whose career spans 35 years. Al has been playing in nightclubs since he was 14 years old. In the 1980’s he recorded on albums with artists Tommy Hoover and Company, Cameron, and Tygan. His music has been featured and played on mainstream radio stations throughout PA, NY, and NJ. In addition has played with many area musicians and recently has been a member of TKO, and the Al Dobson Band. His love of preforming is evident by his high energy onstage actions. He is quoted in saying “The stage is where I come alive.” Al is happily married to his biggest fan, his wife of 10 years Lori Ann.
Name: Lee Lentes
Instrument: Guitar and Vocals
Influences: Many guitarists far and wide
Lee has been playing guitar from the age of 8. By age 13 it was galvanized into him and he knew that is what he wanted to do. He has been writing songs since the age of 15. Lee has been playing in local clubs since then and has become a well-known local guitarist and composer. Lee’s career has allowed him to play both nationally and internationally. He is best known for the national recording artists Stranded. He has played in many popular local bands as well most recently The Valley Boys. Lee has also recorded and released solo albums throughout his career of three decades. He currently is single and a devoted father to his children.
Name: Troy Hunt (Floss)
Instrument: Drums, and Percussion
Influences: Buddy Rich, Neil Peart
Floss began his musical career at age 9. He comes from a musical family and originally played guitar in small bands. His first attraction to the drums was after seeing Buddy Rich. He was hooked. His older brother Eddie bought him his first set of drums at the age of 13. Floss then began playing in polka bands such as The Skyjets, Polka Joy, and the Polski Swing Masters. The pinnacle at that time was playing for Eddie Blazonczyk’s Versatones in Chicago. After playing the Polka’s and Jazz he started into Rock and Roll. Playing in numerous bands doing 80’s, 90’s, and older classics. He loves what he does and to play all styles is his life’s ambition. His enjoyment of seeing people move to his beat satisfies his soul and, makes him strive to be the best that he can be.
