About Kyle Vincent

"The crown prince of soft pop" – Goldmine
"One of the best singer-songwriters to come along since the heyday of Tin Pan Alley" – Barry Manilow
"Blending a voice like a cool smoker into Top 20-quality mind control drugs we call hip songs" – Music Dish
"Best Male Vocalist of the Year" – Hollywood Music In Media Awards (2014)
"Do not miss a chance to see this charming and talented artist in action" – Billboard
"The greatest voice you've never heard" – a fan in New Jersey

The New Album –
The award-winning prolific singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist
returns with Sunshine Soul

a stunning new album of superbly crafted contemporary
pop songs, drenched in soulful melodies, rich orchestration, heartfelt lyrics, and
sparkling vocals, reminiscent of the great 3-minute radio songs of the 60s & 70s, yet
sounding refreshingly fresh. From the opening spoken words, “Here we go…”, the
listener is set up for a spirited trip back to when lyrics and melody mattered. While
Vincent pays homage to several genres, the constant is his distinctive tenor voice, as
crystal clear and soulful an instrument as any out there today.
Kyle Vincent has never shied away from wearing his influences –
and his heart – on his musical sleeve, and his latest album will not only satiate his current legion of
worldwide fans, but should certainly hook a new audience longing for his style of super
melodic, crystal-clearly produced pop songs.

History –
If ever there was a pop ‘n roll survivor, Kyle Vincent is that man. Vincent began his
musical career at the age of 8, playing saxophone in his native Berkeley, California
school system’s innovative jazz program. As a teen he went on to take bass lessons
from multi-platinum guitarist Joe Satriani, and voice lessons from renowned San
Francisco opera singer Claudine Spindt, before moving to L.A. to become lead singer
of the influential teen L.A. power-pop foursome, Candy (which featured future Guns 'n
Roses axe man Gilby Clarke).
After Candy, Vincent signed to several major labels as a solo artist, releasing many high
quality albums, and enjoying a hit with the infectious pop ditty, "Wake Me Up (When
The World's Worth Waking Up For)", which lit up the radio during the summer of ’97,
and was featured in the Garry Marshall film, The Other Sister. The song went to #1 in
many markets and Top 20 on the national Adult charts.
Vincent recounts his long, multi-label journey through his omnipresent humor: “I
believe I may hold the all-time record for signing the most record deals. My A&R guys
have been fired, a label president carted away in handcuffs, and once even my promo
man was bumped off. No lie. That happened.”
Kyle credits singing along to Barry Manilow and Bee Gees albums as a teen with
developing his singing voice. As fate would have it, years later he would score the
opening act slot on Manilow's Greatest Hits & Then Some tour.
In addition to his solo career, for a few years Vincent was the lead singer in a reformed
Bay City Rollers, and even does occasional gigs fronting 70s hit- makers, Bo
Donaldson & The Heywoods. Of these retro stints Vincent remarks: “I’m pretty much
the go-to guy when there’s some meandering 70s band in need of a singer. I’ve been a
Roller and a Heywood. I’m waiting for the O’Jays to call.”
When he’s not busy writing or recording, Vincent spends most of his time on the road,
playing shows around the world for his dedicated fan base.
