About Honest Horse
Alternative singer/songwriter Ryan Murphy, originally based in Indiana, has been residing in Long Beach, CA since 2013. Murphy has been performing under the name Honest Horse since 2010 after spending a few years away from performing music to pursue a career as a zookeeper, eventually realizing his true passion remained with music. Pulling influences that range from artists such as Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, and Iron & Wine all the way to Trent Reznor and Imogen Heap, Honest Horse is Murphy’s effort to create music he hopes will find emotional meaning within those who take the time to listen.
