Absolutely amazing! I was really looking forward to seeing them again and damn they delivered. Honestly an amazing band. They're music is meaningful and incredible. And the members are genuinely lovely and very humble. I seriously adore this band and I am looking forward to the day the whole world knows their name and I can brag they come from my city.

About Avastera

AVASTERA are a unique and diverse band from Australia who have quickly landed stepping stones of distinct accomplishments & successes very early on in their career, due to their well-crafted sound and consistent drive to take things to the next level. Following the release of their debut-single 'December Sun', it wasn't long until the band found themselves performing an arena show overseas together with MTV’s Gossip Girl star; Taylor Momsen & The Pretty Reckless, Mayday Parade, Marianas Trench and Forever The Sickest Kids. To simply narrow them down and label them to one specific genre would not justify their unique sound. An interesting yet catchy blend of Alternative Rock, Pop-Punk, Contemporary Pop, and Intricate Guitar Passages are just some of the tasteful elements carefully executed in the right sections of every song to emulate what has become their accessibly distinct sound. As described in a review by Bring The Noise UK (review rating of 9/10); “Song structures have several layers joined together by bridges: the instrumental passages summoned to bring out a new level each time. The musicians juggle with various tempos, volumes and arrangements so easily and nonchalantly that for them, it takes little effort to perform a monstrously speedy guitar solo to then tone it down to ambient, thoughtful guitar picking. Moreover, putting these together doesn’t sound forced or unnatural but right on the contrary.” With 6 powerful, original songs prepared at hand for the release of their debut-EP "The Clocks Have Ticked Too Long", and Producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Yellowcard) on board, a rollercoaster of major events and achievements was only just around the corner to follow Avastera’s launch into public on January 1st 2012. The lead-track ‘December Sun’ was launched with a music video (Directed by Tim Brade) in advanced to the release date of the EP, and with Avastera’s luck, this saw the band soon opening for The Getaway Plan (AUS), Cartel (USA) and Silverstein (CAN) in their hometown of Perth on their individual Australian tours. Furthermore, with Avastera’s intricate guitar work apparent and showcased well throughout their music, ESP Guitars soon contacted Avastera to offer an official Endorsement from the internationally renowned company, to which they were added to the Australian artist roster. Press and Media weren’t going to miss out on this much talked about ‘Avastera’ group emerging from the isolated city of Perth, Australia either. The release of the EP gained attention internationally, with rave reviews from the USA, UK, Germany, Philippines and Canada. In which it has been described on more than one occasion as ‘An amazing debut-release that covers all bases. In fact, one of the better debut-releases in more recent times’. Avastera soon graced the pages of Blunt Magazine (AUS) and Pulp Magazine (PH). Not once, but twice on two separate occasions in the same year. The year in press for Avastera was concluded pleasantly in December, which saw the band featured in the December issues of three different Magazines across the globe. This included features in Big Cheese (UK), Blunt (AUS) and PULP (PHL) where singer Mike Lang, was featured on the front cover of Pulp Magazine’s December issue together with Taylor Momsen, Josh Ramsay (Marianas Trench) and Jonathan Cook (Forever The Sickest Kids). UK’s Kerrang! TV also wanted in on this hot new act. They weren’t alone, however. The Philippine’s leading Music video channel, MYX, also wanted in. The December Sun music video has since been picked up by both Kerrang! TV and MYX, and proceeded to be broadcast to TVs throughout the UK and the Philippines. In September 2012, Avastera was invited to head out on their first International tour. This was a tour through South-East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines). This saw Avastera spend a weekend in Manila with 7 other major international bands (Mayday Parade, The Pretty Reckless, The Maine, A Skylit Drive, Marianas Trench, Forever The Sickest Kids and The Wonder Years). Avastera were the only Australian band to make the lineup. During the tour, the band made a TV appearance on MYX, and radio appearances on RX93.1 (PH), RedFM (MYS) and Jam 88.3 (PH) – interviewed by Julz Savard. With all of this accomplished within just the first 12 months of Avastera bursting out into public with their catchy & unique sound, things can only get bigger from here in the years to come. This... is just the beginning. Tickets on sale now for AVASTERA headline show // NOV 12 @ THE ASTOR THEATRE Tickets Link - http://bit.ly/2ejHaQN
