Fantastic show! These guys nailed every song. I was most impressed with "Crystal Ball" and hearing a 65 year old Tommy Shaw hit every note!! Blown away!!! Will keep seeing these guys as long as they keep touring. Mr Roboto was a long awaited nice touch. Didnt really dig that song back then but it ROCKS now. Well done Styx, well done! I
I just saw Styx in Denver at Fiddlers Green!!! They were amazing 👍🎸😎🎶🎸Only “complaint” is I donated $ & bought their new CD & entered to win a signed Styx guitar 🎸 & they didn’t call my number 😔. Styx was awesome 👏 😎🎶I was transported back to my youth😎
i missed Tesla. Joan Jett was good. i was never a big fan of hers, but she excited the crowd. Styx, who I was once a huge fan of, seemed a little stale. Lawrence Gowen often seemed to be mimicking Dennis De Young. I was glad to see Chuck Panozzo take the stage. Crystal Ball, Man in the Wilderness, and Queen of Spades were noticeably missing. Their new material sounded good, but does anyone really care?
Tesla was great, although far more acoustic songs than I expected. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts exceeded my expectations (even better than when I saw them in 1983). Joan put on a great, high energy setlist, and delivered. Styx... what can I say... the were phenomenal. They far exceeded my high expectations. Such phenomenal musicians, singers, & performers. They had the hardest, rocking setlist of the 3 bands, and killed it as you could see the fun & joy they had while performing a killer set (even with Mr. Roboto in the encore)! (Even co-founder and semi-retired original bassist, Chuck Panozzo made a rare surprise visit and played on 5-6 songs... what a treat!)
in the many occasions I've seen Styx perform this had me one of the "tightest yet able to relax and enjoy" performances I've seen them play. I'm not talkin that I was sitting and relaxing, oh no, I was on my feet from the beginning to the end on this one. They were relaxed and playing without fear and the sound was tremendous the weather was perfect. A great night for all three bands actually.
BY FAR ONE OF MY TOP 5 BANDS OF ALL TIME!! This was one of the few concerts where not only did I know all the songs but actually knew all the lyrics!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE STYX WITH ALL MY HEART!! And when I saw it with my girlfriend and another very good friend of mine I was in heaven
