About Preauxx

PreauXX (pronounced “pro”) has been quickly ascending in the ranks of the next generation of hip hop artists to look out for. Born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Memphis, PreauXX’s charming charisma and aggressive wordplay gained him a local notoriety that exploded after enrolling in the University of Memphis in 2008.
With a positive message aimed at inspiring listeners to seek the most out of life, PreauXX’s music began opening doors at a rapid pace at the university and locally throughout Memphis. After teaming with producers Alexander Odell and IMAKEMADBEATS and releasing two mixtapes (2010’s To Kill A Mockingbird and 2011’s Love Jones), PreauXX dropped out of college to pursue his career in music.
In 2013, PreauXX expanded his reach wowing fans at the A3C and SXSW festivals all while building the his name into a Memphis staple with guerrilla marketing/branding and city-wide parties, including the Cooper Young Festival where he performed for a 10,000+ audience.
In 2014 PreauXX secured a dual deal with Great South Bay Music Group to release his Die Winning and LP Forever. I Will the following year with digital distribution through eOne records.
In July 2015, he dropped the Forever. I Will LP with singles "Re$ults" and "Monday Morning" being featured on HipHopSince1987 and DJBooth. He also expanded his brand by performing that year at the Wakarusa festival with his band the Chinese Connection Dubb Embassy.
In November 2015, PreauXX stepped away from prior affiliations and elevated into a newfound direction in music. He was granted the honor of performing at Elvis Presley's house in Memphis, TN. This made him the first hip hop artist to ever perform in the Presley Estate. In 2016, he opened up for Tech N9ne's "Quiet Before Storm" independent tour. Now 2017, he's currently focused on keeping his music heavily melodic, motivational, and relatable through honesty through a new, more mature sound.
