Penguins with Shotguns has been around for many years. The band began forming around 2000 when Sean Kory (vocals), Matt Burke (bass), Steve Brown (guitar) and Miguel Vargas (drums) were still in high school. Throughout the years, the band has had many transitions and transformations.The current line-up now consists of original members Sean Kory and Matt Burke, with the addition of Danny Crucianelli in 2006 on guitar, Jeff Ferkin in 2011 on guitar and Tony Clark in 2014 on drums. A blend of haunting melody and crunching metal, you'll be left reeling and wanting more. Unfortunately, a CD can only partially capture the full experience. Watching the intensity of PWS live is the only way to fully take in the blood, sweat, and tears that has gone into many years of metal creation. PWS has played at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI, with the likes of Machine Head and 36 Crazyfists; with Psychostick at Hattrix in Kenosha, WI. In 2010, Penguins With Shotguns won the "Are You Gonna Be My Girl Contest" presented by 95 WiiL Rock and opened for national act JET. PWS has been involved with several local radio stations in the Chicago and Milwaukee area.
