About Down the Line
There are at least 2 artists with this name:
1) Down the Line, a 4-piece group started in 2001 in Chicago by Levi Britton, Derek Fawcett, Dan Myers, and Dave Rothkopf. They use mostly acoustic instruments such as guitar, mandolin, violin, harmonica and djembe, along with an electric bass. In 2008, Down The Line released the much-anticipated Home Alive, a live album culled from their stint as “artists in residence” on the renowned hometown stage at Schubas Tavern. The residency was reviewed in UR Chicago Magazine as “a meticulous yet carefree performance...one of the most exuberant I have seen.”(Cory Robertson) Home Alive features original material from Down The Line’s three studio discs: For All You Break (2007), Please Remember My Name (2005) and Welcome to Flavortown (2002).
2) Award winning journalist Gary Bellamy is waiting for your calls, as the lines are open for a new series of Radio 4’s groundbreaking phone-in programme, Down the Line, brought to you by the creators of The Fast Show.
Down The Line stars Rhys Thomas as Gary Bellamy, with Amelia Bullmore, Simon Day, Felix Dexter, Charlie Higson, Lucy Montgomery and Paul Whitehouse.
