Grafting together the sounds of 1970s fuzz rock, ‘60s psychedelia and a health dose of flat-out howling vocals, My Left Boot have been blowing away audiences for half- a-dozen years, and have finally released their their much anticipated debut album Summer Songs. The album was recorded and mixed at Melbourne’s Coloursound studios by Mat Robins (Dandy Warhols) and mastered by Brian Gardener (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Top Gun Soundtrack). Summer Songs is nine tracks of of awesomeness that bottles the band’s rock, blues, fuzz and stoner influences. It captures a band that has been slogging it out live for the best part of 6 years, with inspired songwriting and a huge sonic delivery. The band has played at the most loved venues and festivals across the the continent, sharing stages with countless amazing bands and it shows. The Boot’s live show is a formidable beast of a thing.
