Seven Crowns

SEVEN CROWNS are a punk band that probably formed sometime in 2005, in the depths of the British West Country. Our influences are both obvious and inevitable-the "punk" of POISON IDEA, the "rock" of MOTORHEAD, and the mutterings of Roky Erikkson. If it don't have that swing it don't mean a thing. Who is in the band is meaningless-names are for tombstones. From the very outset we were aware that the inherent conservatism and apathy of the UK punk scene had little or nothing to offer us-so the decision was made that we would head further afield. Within a couple of months we embarked on a East Coast US tour supporting the SUBHUMANS. Within a couple of years we had toured repeatedly throughout Mainland Europe, North America, and South East Asia. The sheer size and energy of the Indonesian punk movement means we are more likely to be playing in Jakarta, Medan, or Kuta than just about any other cities on Earth. Our travels have also resulted in Oakland, California becoming our second home in many ways and our ties with such Bay Are bands as FRACAS and EVERYTHING MUST GO have led us to commit appalling acts. That is all.
