The Wee Trio

The Wee Trio burst onto the scene in 2008 with their release Capitol Diner, Vol. 1, receiving international attention and awarded status as one of the top 10 albums of the year by The San Francisco Chronicle, Boston’s Patriot Ledger and All About Jazz. The trio, which calls both New Orleans and New York City home, tours extensively and has appeared at venues and festivals including Yoshi’s SF, The Green Mill, The Ottawa Jazz Festival, Jazz at The Bistro, (Le) Poisson Rouge, The Fox River Jazz Festival, Snug Harbor and The Jazz Bakery. In 2012, The Wee Trio unveiled their boldest project to date, Ashes to Ashes: A David Bowie Intraspective, which reimagines the iconic work of David Bowie and introduced The Wee Trio to an entirely new audience. The Wee Trio’s fall 2013 release, Live at The Bistro, captures the group’s “lightning in a bottle” (All About Jazz) sound and showcases their deep musical connection live over two sold-out nights at Saint Louis’ venerable club, Jazz at The Bistro.
