Volte Face

Volte Face est un groupe français originaire de Rennes mêlant l’electro tranchant des 80’s, l’ambiance planante de la dream pop, le tout à l’énergie Rock. Né en 2011 à l’issue du projet solo d’ Antoine Torelli, c’est d’abord le résultat d’un croisement de ses influences. Sur les bancs de l’université, il rencontre Thomas Sourdy qui participe régulièrement aux sessions d’ enregistrements. Après avoir écouté quelques morceaux l’entourage d’Antoine le pousse à aller plus loin, il engage Franck Dubois à la batterie et le projet solo devient un trio. Début 2012, ils autoproduisent “One Night Alone”, Antoine et Thomas réalisent le clip vidéo. Il retrace le parcours d’un homme livré à la nuit dans les rues de Rennes, ville chère aux deux compères. Printemps 2012, ils participent à la création d’un split CD avec le groupe de Post-Rock Corbeaux, en novembre dernier sort “The Meeting Point” contenant deux morceaux de Volte Face, “Blade Runner” et ‘In Another Life”. ------------------------------------------------------ Volte Face is a french band from Rennes mixing the keen electro sound of the 80s, the aerial vibe of dream pop, to the rock energy. Born in 2011 after Antoine’s solo project, this is the result of his multiple influences. At the university he meets Thomas Sourdy, who is regularly involved in the studio sessions. After hearing some of his tracks, Antoine’s entourage presses him to go further and excel, he hires Franck on the drums and the solo project becomes a trio. Early 2012, they self-produce One Night Alone, Antoine and Thomas produce the video clip. It relates the journey at night of a man in the streets of Rennes, dearest city of the 2 mates. Spring 2012, they take part in the creation of a spilt album with the Post-Rock band Corbeaux. Last November, “The Meeting Point” is released containing 2 tracks of Volte Face, “Blade Runner” and “In Another Life”. Volte Face is a french band mixing the keen electro sound of the 80s, the aerial vibe of dream pop, to the rock energy.
