About The Deadfields
Stemming from the pines of the Carolinas to the swamps of South Georgia, members of The Deadfields are a shotgun blast of southern culture. Singing and strumming over beers and bourbon, the Atlanta band formed in 2011 for a simple, honest mission: put the good times first and write honest music. The good times have come, and they show face at every Deadfields show. The unbridled energy, four-part harmonies, and anthemic choruses lead The Deadfields to become one of the most sought after new roots-rock bands in the South. In 2012 the new group had the honor of performing with Sonia Leigh, Drivn N’ Cryin, Driveby Truckers, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, The Jompson Brothers, Lynryd Skynyrd, Roberta Flack, The Steel Wheels, The Steeldrivers, Larry Keel, and many more. With comparisons from Reckless Kelly and The Avett Brothers to The Old 97’s and even The Eagles, the band feeds on stealing fans from teens to seniors, anywhere from the States to overseas. When the guys began recording demos and then self-released “Dance in the Sun” in 2012, the “Hell we can do that!” attitude was born. Dance in the Sun (essentially a polished, unfiltered demo) made waves in the independent radio charts (#91 AMA Americana, #9 Freeform Americana Roots, #61 Roots 66), and made several ‘top albums of 2012’ lists and playlists globally. No producer. No label. No management. Just a brotherhood of boozers with a serious music addiction. The Deadfields are (alphabetical order): Chase Alger (Roswell, GA) - bass guitar, vocals Corey Chapman (Cumming, GA) - pedal steel, dobro, banjo Jeff Gardner (Atlanta, GA) - guitars, vocals, mandolin Geoff Reid (Greenville, SC) - guitars, vocals, harmonica For booking please contact booking@thedeadfields.com Spreadin' love like wildfire
