Stephanie Chapman

Note: The concert I'm reviewing isn't listed, so I posting on this concert. Stephanie Chapman's concert at the beautiful Franklin Theatre (Franklin TN) on August 24, 2024 was simply superb!! She, her special guests and the musicians were all excellent! Such a wonderful night of fine music!! I especially loved that the show started with an autobiographical film highlighting Stephanie's background and the inspiration/making of her fabulous album, "Under an August Sky." If I get another chance to see her in concert, I won't pass it up.

I attended this fantastic concert from out of state for various reasons: 2 artists I follow were among the notable special guests, I love Bob Dylan's music (tribute since it was his birthday), and it's a great venue. It also happened to be the release date of Stephanie Chapman's excellent album "Under an August Sky" (I'm really loving it!!). Going in, all I knew about Stephanie was that she had taken a 13-year break from the music industry to raise her 3 kids, so I had no preconceptions. Wow!!!--was I immediately impressed when she started singing with her strong band of top-notch musicians!! It was beautiful music written by Stephanie and featured her playing guitar and piano. Oh, and she's great with the humorous banter! I totally loved every minute of that night and look forward to catching future concerts of hers.
