About Jamie Teachenor

With two consecutive Top Ten singles recently under his belt, once again, Jamie Teachenor, is gearing up for the release of new music and a 30+ city tour of the US. Teachenor is on course to see the best year of his career, thus far. A visionary at heart, he is sculpting his sound, band, and live show into something new and explosive... bridging the gap between throwback and innovation. The driving force behind Teachenor's focused image is his new management team at 36 Black Artist Management Group, and his record label, Rock Fiction Records. This musical rendezvous of gentleman meets outlaw will take place in the Birthplace of Rock-N-Roll, Memphis, Tennessee, with the recording of his upcoming single, "Fallen Sons," set to be released in early 2015. Jamie has been described by renowned Rolling Stone contributor & music editor, Larry Nager, as "The arrival of a strikingly original talent." Teachenor was raised at the top of the Missippippi Delta in the small farming town of Fagus, Missouri, and grew up literally being rocked to sleep by his father, legendary Rockabilly Hall of Famer, Jim Teachenor, known by disc jockeys as "the hottest piano player from Memphis to St. Louis". By the age of nine, Jamie was already fronting bands at venues all over the Southeast and Midwest. He was only seventeen when he released his regional hit single, "Baby, You Can Fall In Love With Me," followed by the release of his self-titled EP. Jamie moved to Nashville the day before his twenty-first birthday to further pursue his art of songwriting. Jamie Teachenor is a Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter and producer who has had songs recorded by many mainstream Country Music artists, such as, Luke Bryan, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Blaine Larsen, Collin Raye, Trisha Yearwood, Craig Campbell, Joey + Rory, Kevin Denney, Trace Adkins, and Vince Gill. As an artist, Jamie has contributed to a number of albums, including vocals for Blake Shelton's Gold certified album, "The Dreamer," and in 2010, Jamie released the single, "Never Gonna Stand For This," as Teachenor Clark. Teachenor has had the privilege of performing for millions on ABC's "Good Morning America," the CBS "Early Show," multiple times at the "Grand Ole Opry" live at both the Opry House and the Historic Ryman Auditorium, CMT, GAC, the Miss Teen America Pageant, RFD TV, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and many of the major radio stations all around the world. In 2013, Jamie was a special guest performer at Jerry Lee Lewis's intimate Beale Street concert, "Up Close And Personal," broadcast on Sirius XM's Outlaw Country and Jerry Lee had him back as the sole performer for his 78th birthday bash. Teachenor has been featured in many widely-known publications such as, Billboard Magazine, People Magazine, USA Today, Country Weekly, Roughstock, The Boot; MTV.com, CMT.com and VH1.com; and his songs have been in multiple movies and books, including "Chicken Soup For The Soul," Country Music Edition. He was also a featured artist in the 2013 Tennessee Vacation Guide. Jamie's debut album "The Departure", produced four Amazon Best-Selling singles. Teachenor also recorded a special mono acoustic version of one of those singles, "Free Birds Have Cages", using a late 1940's era Magnecord tape machine. This version of the single was featured in the first season of "Nashville Time Machine" in 2012. His follow-up Amazon Best-Selling Album, "Waiting Room - EP", debuted at number 45 in the US on the iTunes Top Rock Songs Chart, and number 60 in the UK on Rockadia Magazine's Top 100 Rock New Releases Chart. In 2014, Teachenor released "Lo-Fidelity" under the name, "Lo-Fi". The album, also an Amazon Best-Seller, debuted at number 67 on the iTunes New Releases Chart, producing two hit singles, "Vintage Heart" (featuring Vince Gill) which received heavy international airplay, climbing to number 10 on the Indie World Chart, number 7 on CDBaby's Top Indie Songs Chart, and number 68 on Japan's Top 200 Chart, and "When You're Over Me" which reached number 18 on Play MPE's Top 20 Download Chart, and number 8 on their Top 20 Stream Chart. When Jamie's not performing, writing, or recording his music, he's out listening to bands, painting oil on canvas or hanging with his wife, best-selling author, Jen Teachenor, and their two children. Describing Teachenor's own piano-based version of Southern Indie Soul Rock, GreatIndieMusic.com states, "full of raw emotion and unrivaled conviction," "Teachenor has truly been given a genre-less gift." www.JamieTeachenor.com Follow me on twitter @jamieteachenor or Instagram.com/JamieTeachenor and you can read my blog at: www.CountryRootsandCombatBoots.com
