Overworld

A lot has happened since 2011, when band co-founders Kaz (guitar) & Andie (drums) had drunken conversations about starting a new project with the simple aim of "taking Over the World". This train of thought eventually became, you guessed it, OVERWORLD. Since 2012, when the award-winning band kicked off in earnest with its original line-up, an impressive resume has taken shape. This includes, but is not limited to: performing at the prestigious Sweden Rock Festival, charting in the top 5 of iTunes Sweden three times, having accumulated over 780,000 views on YouTube, and sharing the stage with rock & metal greats such as KISS, Europe, Rush, Scar Symmetry, Evergrey, Sonic Syndicate, Amaranthe, Avantasia, Raubtier and Scarpoint to name a few. 2 EPs and several singles later, it's plain to see that Overworld occupies an interesting and ever-changing position in the world of music. While a rock/metal act at heart, the band's past has also incorporated elements of visual rock, electronica, metalcore and pop, owing to the many different influences that various members have brought to the table. On account of Overworld's intense live shows and close relationship to the fanbase, the band prides itself on having inspired a cult following, loyal listeners who firmly stand their ground, even in the face of line-up & genre overhauls. Today, Kaz & Andie are joined by Olli (vocals) & Anton (guitar), producing a sound together that is heavier and more raw than ever, yet still noticably nuanced, with lyrics and subtle melodies that evoke a full spectrum of haunting emotions. The new single "The Hunt Goes On" spearheads a brand new era, an era which aims to show that as long as the band's members are capable of holding instruments, they will kick ass.
