Infrasonic Asylum

Infrasonic Asylum first came to be in late 2009 in the small town of Big Bear Lake, CA, when each of the three original members (Acedia Lechery, Cale Hay, Brandi Baragiola) were in the middle of their sophomore year of high school. The band was first named Well Under A Few Dollars (WUaFD), and started off as an emo-screamo band. After playing a few local shows and participating in their school's annual Battle of the Bands, they changed their name from Well Under a Few Dollars to Infrasonic Asylum, a name that they all look upon proudly. With the name change came a natural change in their genre of music, as well. Unable to fit snugly into a single genre, the band came up with their own genre, which they call Nu Thrash, a mix of several different genres of metal music, such as thrash, heavy metal, post-hardcore, screamo, metalcore, death metal, etc. By December, 2011, Infrasonic Asylum welcomed Anthony Wheeler into the band, allowing Acedia to be the full-time singer and screamer. A year later, after cementing their relationship with Anthony, founding member and drummer, Caleb Hay, parted ways with the band on good terms.To find a replacement, the band had to look no further than long-time friend Jake Maybrier, who agreed to step in behind the kit,thus completing the current lineup. On December 6th, 2012, the band traveled down to Yucaipa, California to record a single in order to promote their upcoming EP.
