SHIP OF THE RISING SUN is a four piece rock/fusion super group started from the fragments of other past projects. Lead Guitar Player and band founder Azuri Moon, together with the bombastic bass playing of Original Member Kasey Cohn and the technical precision and energy of Original Member Danny Beallo, began SHIP OF THE RISING SUN. After some time, they discovered the overflowing vocal and dance talents of brother Uriel Moon. In the summer of 2012, he joined the band to complete the line up. The band has been likened to such groups and artists such as The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Cage the Elephant, Tame Impala, The Who, The Black Keys, Allan Holdsworth and Miles Davis, among so much more. The band's show consists of high energy performance, combining Uriel's unique and explosive dance moves with Azuri's fast, soulful and technical guitar playing/solos, Kasey's hard hitting, gut wrenching bass grooves and Danny's diverse and brilliant drum playing. They are exploding on the LA scene right now and have been on such radio stations as 95.5 KLOS, 88.9 KXLU.
