O Manipulador

It all started in 2010 in Portugal, when Manuel Molarinho decided to create a totally independent solo musical project. In studio, it's an experimental one man band using bass, pedals, loop station and vocals. Musically, it's the expression of an identity influenced by several alternative rock bands and do It yourself ethics.
In 2011, the first album,"Boxing", was digitally released in June and the song "i know (short version) was selected to the compilation "Novos Talentos Fnac 2011".
In 2012, the second album, "Chess" was digitally release in October.
In February 2015 "LOP", a split album with Daily Misconceptions was released by ZigurArtists.
Live, O Manipulador's music is often illustrated by video projections that involve video mapping concepts (such as projecting on unconventional surfaces) giving the a live show a wider sensory experience.
The project is based in Porto, Portugal

Surgiu da decisão tomada por Manuel Molarinho, em 2010, de fazer um projecto musical a solo e de forma absolutamente independente. É, em estúdio, uma "one man band" experimental de baixo, pedais, loop station e voz que, musicalmente, é a expressão de uma identidade influenciada pela estética de algumas bandas de rock alternativo e pela ética do "do it yourself".
Em 2011, o primeiro álbum, "Boxing", foi lançado digitalmente em Junho e a música "i know (short version)" foi escolhida para a compilação "Novos Talentos Fnac 2011".
Em 2012, o segundo album, "Chess" foi lançado digitalmente em Outubro, sendo posteriormente lançado em formato físico em Fevereiro de 2013.
Em Fevereiro de 2015 "LOP", um split com Daily Misconceptions, foi lançado com o carimbo da ZigurArtists.
Ao vivo, juntam-se muitas vezes à música de O Manipulador projecções de vídeo (que englobam a utilização de conceitos de vídeo mapping, nomeadamente a projecção em superficíes menos convencionais) que traduzem visualmente a música e transformam o concerto numa viagem sensorial.
