About Eighteenth Hour

A LITTLE PRESS FOR YA:
"Eighteenth Hour's new album 6 represents a culmination of maturity, song craft, and musicanship that far exceeds the band's time together. Slick, tight hooks with soaring melodies to satisfy any rocker!" - A.J. Fritz, WLVR 91.3FM (2013)

“For an unsigned act, Eighteenth Hour is pretty much playing in the big leagues. Just look at their latest string of victories. Their newest release, The Analog Sessions, is an ambitious stripped down blues-tinged effort that’s pricking ears and receiving praise.” – Origivation Magazine, excerpts from “THE Eighteenth Hour” (February 2008), Annamarya Scaccia, © 2008.

“As the title “The Analog Sessions” indicates, their new disc (the band’s fourth of original tunes) is a throwback to pre-digital music. The eight songs feature big distorted guitars, bluesy solos and dramatic acoustic ballads. “Sound the Sirens Off,” the most overtly blues song, is a standout. The opening track, “Come Back Later,” is also impressive. Here the guitars sound modern in a Foo Fighters sort of way while vocal harmonies add a soft touch over the heavy fuzz.” - The Morning Call, excerpts from “The Analog Sessions” CD Review (September 8, 2007), Josh Berk, © 2007.

“Straight-ahead rock. That’s the only way to describe it. The band is known for rocking audiences with an array of driving, anathematic original tunes.” – The Express Times, excerpts from “Meet the Band” (August 17, 2007), Dustin Schoof, © 2007.

WITH A LITTLE BIO ON THE SIDE:
While the term rock band might sound one-dimensional in today's music industry, taking the time to listen to Eighteenth Hour's wide range of rock songwriting on their latest CD Chasing the Following puts that misconception to rest. From the driving rock anthems "Halfway Gone" and "Unsaid" to the intimate ballad "Wasted" to the funk-rock infused "How Can I Make You Understand" to the groove-oriented single "Would I Lie", this new release highlights a fresh, acoustic-driven rock sound from Eighteenth Hour while still capturing the energy and intensity that the band has become known for.

Eighteenth Hour's accomplishments include winning numerous Lehigh Valley Music Awards including "Best Rock CD" and "Best Original Band", receiving "5 out of 5 stars" for the "SHINE" CD review and "Best Original Band" in the Reader's Choice Poll of Pulse Weekly Magazine, being named "Best Band" in the Lehigh Valley Magazine's Best of The Valley Poll, and being the RECORD HOLDER for 17 consecutive days at #1 on vMRadio’s “Top 10 at 10” chart.

Eighteenth Hour's reputation as a great live band spread quickly after winning WZZO 95.1FM's 15th Annual Backyard Bands Competition which was judged by representatives from Atlantic, Virgin and Interscope Records. This was the launching pad that lead Eighteenth Hour to regular performances at the best original music venues in the tri-state area including The Bitter End (NYC), Grape Street Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA), The Mercury Lounge (NYC), Godfrey Daniels (Bethlehem, PA), Arlene's Grocery (NYC), and their upcoming CD Release concert at Sands Casino Resort (Bethlehem, PA). They have also performed several years at the nation's largest free festival, Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA).
