About Trees Above Mandalay

The title behind the new EP ‘Growing Pains’ can be defined as emotional difficulties that occur during adolescence. It takes this definition and translates it into 6 tracks that portray the inevitable hardships of life, relationships and events that help define who you are. The second release from Trees Above Mandalay gives listeners a better understanding of the bands personal experiences that made them grow into the men and band that they are today. Since the creation of the band in 2007, the New Jersey based Trees Above Mandalay have been entertaining audiences throughout the east coast and Midwest areas with their energetic live shows and enchanting personalities. With only a few demo songs released shortly after the conception of the band, they quickly grew a reputation of a band you “needed to see.” Trees Above Mandalay, consisting of singer David Glynn, drummer Sean Staranka, bassist Austin Howell and guitarists Brett Coleman and Tim Baker, have passionately been pursuing their devotion to the love of playing, writing, and enjoying everything about music. Their dedication is easily depicted in the music that they write and is greatly interpreted in their live performances. 2013 marks the beginning of a new adventure for Trees Above Mandalay, as they have set a February 19th release date for 'Growing Pains,' and have already started to get back out on the road in support of the release. A little more grown and mature, the five friends are taking their life experiences, translated onto a single release, and expressing it through an unforgettable live show that everyone can relate to. Invite your friends to be our friends then tell them to invite their friends and so on. This could be so fun!
