Melanie Wehbe

Melanie Wehbe is a Swedish artist and songwriter with origins from Armenia and Lebanon. Growing up in a musical family she early understood the impact and importance of having music in life. At the age of 14 Melanie started writing music. Being inspired by her older brother who plays several instruments she decided to teach herself how to play the guitar, which became her main tool when writing. Struggling with identity confusion along with the fears of being openly gay, songwriting became the easiest way for Melanie to express herself. Her official debut single bittersweet and mystical “Wasted,” was released in July 2016. The follow-up, emotional and touching “Make Room” was released in March 2018. Melanie has written music to artists such as Norwegian Jesper Jenset, Australian Nicole Millar and Swedish Mariette . In 2017 she wrote the Swedish Idol winner song “Treading Water” which was released by Chris Kläfford. During the years 2015-2018 Melanie went on tour as a musician with Mariette playing guitar, keys and singing backing vocals in her band.
