About All Changes Apply

The dynamic guitar playing/songwriting duo of Lima, OH residents David "Smitty" Smith and McKenzie "Mack" Anderson began during their highschool years when they found themselves in a student P&W band together. They had already found a bond in their mutual unhealthy affection for comic books and video games in the time spent on the bench in basketball, and would soon discover another commonality in appreciation -to say the least- for music that expressed something deeper than the norm, focusing on originality, poetry, and metaphor. Mack and David entertained the idea, nay, the necessity, of starting a band constantly. No one really remembers around what time it was, month or year, when other "musicians" actually entered the picture. We don't want to remember those times. Too many incarnations with differing members to count came and went, going from maybe 2 or 3 shows a year to POSSIBLY ten. Let's not exaggerate though, it probably was not that many. One of the "band's" earliest versions had a meeting to decide a name. One particular word stuck out and was used in a variety of phrases proposed as what to christen this ever iconic entity. When writing options down, the singer at the time wrote this single word down and next to it in parentheses, "(all changes apply)." It just sounded like a band name. This current and far more legitimized cast who stands before you today came into fruition in the Fall of 2010 when Smitty, Mack, and bassist Bryan "B" Maas hooked up with with brothers and long-time acquaintances Jeremy and Josh Salsbury (on lead vocals and drums respectively). Since then, All Changes Apply has recorded their first, all indie/DIY demo, two better quality singles at a studio in Columbus, shared the stage with such acts as Disciple, Ashes Remain, Remedy Drive, Write This Down, Spoken, Creating Constellations, Children 18:3, The Protest, and more, and is now -in 2013- preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign for their first ever radio-ready EP. You can reach All Changes Apply through email (allchangesapply@hotmail.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/allchangesapply), Twitter (www.twitter/allchangesapply), or most any social networking site you can think of. New music video "Cowards and Crooks" is on YouTube!!!
