Red Sails

Red Sails are a Liverpool-based five piece band that produce a beautiful ethereal sound, with a twist of melancholia, centred around the songwriting and vocals of two brothers. Not concerned with trends, scenes or cliques, Red Sails prefer to concentrate on producing the best - and the most honest - music possible. Influences range from early Soul, Blues and Rock & Roll, via 50s vocal groups and 60s West coast Psychedelia - with an emphasis on tight, melodic vocal harmonies and layered and creative instrumentation, sympathetic to the tune. The band have been quietly creating an LP of honest, heartfelt music in numerous studios across the UK - starting at Sandhills in Liverpool through to Modern World, Snap Studios, State of the Ark in Richmond, and sneaking in the Coliseum Theatre among other spaces - using a combination of blagged studio time and pulling in favours.
