About Gregg Martinez
Lafayette, Louisiana native Gregg Martinez has been performing, recording and writing for nearly five decades. Martinez’s 12th album, MacDaddy Mojeaux, celebrates a life-long passion born in the depths of the Louisiana bayou and still burning brightly today. A 2019 inductee into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, Martinez has received multiple nominations for OFFBEAT magazine’s Best Male Vocalist in the annual Best of the BEAT Awards. His 2016 release, “Soul of the Bayou,” was named one of OFFBEAT’s Top Ten Albums in Louisiana.
The late Ed Bradley of TV's 60 Minutes - upon hearing him perform at the 2005 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival - called Gregg "one of America's hidden treasures."
