Gag Me, I'm Gorgeous

Gag Me - In a figurative sense, to make irrelevant the "things you say", or in other words, your depth and your purpose. I'm Gorgeous - To proclaim self "beauty", or in other words, superficiality. It's almost as though by saying "Gag me, I'm gorgeous" you're telling society to disregard who you really are and how you really feel and think and act, and only acknowledge the shallow and superficial things you convey. The name, of course, is satirical. We as a society have diluted the value of who we are by conforming to trends and ways of thinking and by this aesthetic nightmare we call beauty. We are all guilty of vanity and, because light cannot exist without darkness, self-deprecation. Let's relinquish these traditions and make a kind of beauty of our own. A genuine one.
