About Would You Kindly?
POWERFUL. FEMALE-FRONTED. ALTERNATIVE-ROCK
Would You Kindly? has a unique and vibrant sound incorporating electric violin, and a blended influence of modern rock, pop, and jazz. First hitting the stage in 2019, they are known for playing originals such as ‘Blood in the Water’ and covers like ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries.
Getting their start in the local open-mic scene, Would You Kindly? believes in being a huge support to the local community and now sponsors Make Music Kenosha presented by NAMM Foundation, headlines for Kenosha Pride, and plays for Captains + Canines partnered with Safe Harbor Humane Society. They have also had the amazing opportunity to play for larger community festivals such as Celebrate America by Happenings Magazine, Lake Geneva Concerts in the Park, and Bands By The Boardwalk sponsored by Karben4 Brewing.
Would You Kindly? began with singer/song-writer Gina Marie and guitarist Paul Hoskins, later inviting bassist Daniel Harrison, violinist Megan Weaver, and drummer “Miss B” Haven Wells. They have collaborated with variety of phenomenal talent such as Ivy Ford, Betsy Ade & The Well-Known Strangers (BAWKS), and Kat and the Hurricane (KATH).
In Fall of 2021 Would You Kindly? held their album release party at the famous Route 20 in Racine, Wisconsin. Named after their popular original, ‘The Aftermath’ is a story about the trauma of domestic violence and abuse—it is an expression of the long journey to recovery.
Recently, Would You Kindly? has had the honor of recording the theme song ‘Why We Do It. (Demo) (feat. Cameron Fair)’ for The ArtSpace Podcast, and volunteers weekly at Kenosha Creative Space. Now, they are back at Cherry Pit Studios with WAMI award winner Eric LaBrosse to record their latest EP ‘Queen of Hearts’.
