About Chris Brien Country
Chris made the move to Alberta out of high school and it was the best decision he ever made. He finally felt like he fit in. Cowboy boots everywhere you look and scenery right out of an ol' country western. Yeah… This was home. It was about that time that he started to discover his voice - even
if it was only himself to hear it.

He soon purchased his first guitar, taking a couple half hour lessons but never really caught on. He felt defeated. That guitar sat in the corner of his living room collecting dust for months until one day Chris decided to pick it back up and watch some YouTube tutorials. Next thing you know he was playing for hours a day. You couldn't take the thing out of his hands if you tried! (and try his roommate did)

He clearly remembers his first successful attempt at singing and playing guitar at the same time. The song was "Take It Easy" by The Eagles. His hands were sweating profusely and fingers were almost bleeding from how hard he was pressing the strings in frustration. After what felt like hundreds of attempts, it just happened. A smile lit up on his face from ear to ear and from that moment on, he was addicted.

Chris is inspired by a variety of country music but should you hop in his truck, 99% of the time he will be listening to songs from generations ago. Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, George Strait and Alan Jackson are among his favorites and they have all played a major role in laying the foundation for his love of
country music. He has always felt like he was born 50 years too late.

Chris is excited with the decision to give it his all and start chasing his childhood dream. With his family and friends in his corner rooting him on, he can't wait to see where this journey takes him
