"Full power, no compromise!" (Metal Hammer) BUT WE TRY IT was founded early 2008 and released a self-titled demo (out 04/17/09) featuring six songs. Recording and mixing was done in the bands own MadMax Studio in Wuppertal. They played over 100 gigs alongside bands such as Lazarus A.D, The Sorrow, Cryptopsy, Hatesphere, Deadlock, The Ghost Inside, Suffokate and many more. In January 2010 BUT WE TRY IT recorded their full length debut album "Dead Lights" in the renown Woodhouse Studios in Hagen/Germany with producer Waldemar Sorychta (Enemy of the Sun, Grip Inc.), who helped bands like Sodom, Tiamat, and Lacuna Coil to achieve internationally recognized albums. Mixing and Mastering was done by Siggi Bemm. 2010 they signed a record deal with Massacre Records and released their full-length debut "Dead Lights“ on January 28th 2011. It got great press reviews in all major metal print media like Metal Hammer, Rock Hard, etc. and was followed by a tour with Illdisposed & Raunchy through Germany, Denmark, Italy and Austria. In November 2012 BUT WE TRY IT recorded their second album "A Twisted Sanctuary". The recordings has been engineered and mixed by Dennis Koehne who has already worked the buttons for productions of Sodom, Melechesh and Exumer. Unfortunately, the band’s record company Firefield Records shut down their business for economic reasons only a few days before July 5th 2013, the date "A Twisted Sanctuary" was supposed to be released. Despite of this major setback, the guys followed the motto of their band name and immediately began the search for a new record company. Finally, Remedy Records became the band’s new business partner.. "A Twisted Sanctuary" will has been released November 1st 2013. Furthermore the new song “Through The Peril” was featured in the August issue of the German Metal Hammer and a co-headlining tour through Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands with Raunchy + Supports took place in september/october 2013. In April 2014 BUT WE TRY IT were on the road with the death metal Legends Facebreaker and Diabolical. The tour led them through Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
