I had so much fun. Meeting ZZ was so much fun. She even gave me a shout-out to the crowd saying that I am her number one fan. I even met some friends and told them about Zz wards discord server called the House of dirty shine. Very friendly people all around. I hope she comes back to Maryland Hall for the creative arts in the future. Loved all her new songs from Liberation.

What a great show from ZZ. A great set with a good mix of songs from the new Liberation album, some R&B covers and earlier songs. Good energy, a strong blues flavor and solid entertainment. Live the city winery venue. Good food.

The Roxy was a great intimate venue where Ms Ward put on an outstanding show of both her new songs and her early work. She was clearly "at home" and put amazing energy into her set. This was my third time seeing her and definitely my favorite show! I felt so lucky to have made this show. I was supposed to have surgery the Wednesday before the show but I put it off just to be there. I am glad I did.

I was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Oregon, in a small town called Roseburg. I grew up listening to my Dad write and sing the blues and started performing with him in his blues bands when I was a kid. I fell in love with the sincerity of Etta, the soul of Muddy and the power of Big Mama. When I got older I started writing hooks for and performing with local rappers from Eugene. I fell in love with hip-hop, with it's authenticity. Now I'm married to em both. DIRTY SHINE!
