About Bobby Crash

Bobby Crash is currently the Drummer for Wolfghost; http://wolfghost13.bandcamp.com and the Lead Vocalist for Burnouts From Outer Space. http://burnoutsfromouterspace.bandcamp.com/album/the-mercury-man-ep-i-2013 Bobby Crash began drumming in 1970 at the age of 4 after receiving a snare drum for Christmas. He joined the school orchestra at age 7 and received a bright red sparkle Slingerland jazz bop kit later that year. At age 10 he joined the school marching band and chose music over all other activities. In 1978 the sudden divorce of his parents led to him being uprooted from his native home in Cape Cod Massachusetts and constantly moving, which landed him in Washington D.C. where upon his first brief day of school and newly found free reign, he joined his first original band "Stranger" in 1979. Stranger played lots of really cool originals and lots of Rock covers, Bobby's first rock gig was in front of 300 people at a club at Rosecroft Raceway at age 14 in an 18+ venue. In the fall of 1982, he eventually found himself constantly on the move again, this time in Connecticut, (this resulted in him being rejected/expelled from several schools and eventually dropping out) it was during this time, he met up and formed "The Connection" (a neighbor playing some really loud guitar, so loud "I heard him while mowing my Aunt's lawn") with a new found friend, Dave Briggs in 1985. Bobby eventually settled in New London thanks to the help of another friend he met named Jeff Daniels (as Bobby had been homeless). Bobby Crash has remained consistent year after year playing in and around hundreds of venues the Northeast since his first club gig in 1981 in D.C. and upon his arrival to New London at The El n Gee (New London) 1986. Bobby is known for his incredibly accurate meter, consistently excellent grooves and professional improvisational abilities. His drumming is powerful, versatile and dynamic. Bobby provides an undeniable heart and soul to any line up lucky enough to acquire his love and talent for great music. Bobby is extremely loyal and will play with anyone. (Unless you're an Ass, which you'll never get another shot, no mater how much money you've got) He has recorded in several of the industry's top recording studios and knows the secret of a great drum sound. Bobby Crash is Drums. Bobby Crash plays Vintage Slingerland Drums and Zildjian Cymbals exclusively. There are no words that can describe Bobby's unique voice and vocal phrasings. He's been compared to the likes of several go to baritones but his style is truly one of a kind. When performing as a Lead Vocalist, Bobby uses a Platinum Plated Sennheiser e835 exclusively.
