About Keon Supreme

Normally, anyone who would call themselves “The Highest” has a hyperbole problem. But then, there’s nothing normal about Downtown, California’s Keon Supreme. Keon’s intentions are obvious from the opening verse of “The Flow” on his first album entitled “Supreme”: assault the beat. So, letting the music speak for itself, he prophesizes to the world, “…Remember my name, when I’m dead and gone celebrate the day that I came.” But no one should wait that long. “The Original Claremontian” recognizes the contrasting juxtaposition of his roots and guarantees it will only make him grow stronger and taller in the days to come. Born of a father who dabbled in soul singing and a mother who taught him to be emotional without being “PUNKtual”, Keon is a rarity among emcees…he’s honest. Citing Gnarls Barkley and Jay-Z among his biggest lyrical influences, Keon Supreme has developed an eclectic sound replete with metaphorical twists and turns that forces anyone with ear drums to take notice. “Dude, I’m from Claremont. A lot of good artists of all genres are from here and it’s real intellectual with the colleges that sprinkle the town. Living here is part of how I am today.” In other words, if you’re looking for a guided tour through the ‘hood, complete with tales of gat-clappin’, bottle-poppin’, and short skirt-watchin’…look elsewhere. “Supreme” tackles the formidable relationship between a man and his mother on "Love Me Again", examines the fight for freedom in America on the pensive track, "The Struggle", and vividly deals with the artist’s inner struggles on the not-so-shy "Half-Baked", and the daring "Now What?". His first offering would be enough to fill up daily head-bobbin’ time for a while, however, Keon took things a step higher with his second gift, the empirical concept album, "Just Cause". “Just Cause” is the story of his life and times during on one day of a painful stretch that forced him to face himself and all that was dragging him down. Now things are looking up. One of Keon’s influences, Cee-Lo Green said, “It’s (people) hurt, and uncertain about if they gon’ make it or not…” Keon’s not interested in being alone at the top. He wants to bring others with him. His music is a desire for change, a plea for everyone to examine their similarities and get to the top together. “Be Still” will be Keon Supreme’s third album and is set to release on October 31st, and that’s the highest treat anyone could hope for. Updates and news on up and coming performance/recording artist Keon Supreme with occasional post from the man himself. Follow @KeonSupreme on Instagram.
