FRIKSHON is the new permanent alias for the 2010 Hardcore Heaven Awards "Breakthrough MC" winner and one of UK Hardcores most versatile, active and hard working vocal meastros previously known as MC Friction. From his early years as a diehard dancefloor raver enjoying the sounds of events such as Vibealite, Helter Skelter, Hardcore Heaven, United Dance, Slammin Vinyl, Dizstruxsion, Uprising etc. his passion for the underground dance music scene grew and grew until back in 2002 having started to pave his way as a DJ he decided after years of watching artists such as Brisk, Scott Brown, Vinylgroover, Slipmatt, Force & Styles, Hixxy and many more have there sets complimented by lyrical, crowd hypers such as MC Storm, Peta Pan, Marley, Sharkey and Whizzkid, working the crowd via the mic was the direction he wanted to take. Starting his journey by playing stand in slots at massive showpiece events at Fantasy Island and the Emporium Complex for Legendary Hardcore promoter Vibealite with the likes of Robbie Long, Mark EG and DJ Breeze this quickly led to promoters booking him on a regular basis for smaller nights throughout the UK. From this came his first residency's at midlands based promoter Total Bedlam aswell as Stokes premier Hardcore brand at the time JEDI in 2004 and also incredible chances to master his game on stages such as HTID Event 8 @ The Ministry Of Sound and Uproar's "All Systems Go" event, thus meaning his name began to become more widely known and the wheels were firmly set in motion on this journey he so passionatly followed. While continuing to work hard on dancefloor friendly lyrics and crafting his sound over the course of the next few years understandably studio projects for tracks was the logical progression and this was to be the birth of a now well respected group of Pioneering producers in the form of Trackmaster Music Records. In 2007 alongside midlands production duo DJ's Cruze & Breaks he recorded his first track entitled "Rockin To The Flavour" Since this his catalogue of works as a recording artist has risen dramatically by collaborating with other well respected producers such as Joey Riot, Fracus + Darwin, Chaos, Andy Freestyle, Invader and Jervis & Meat as well as building and co running the Trackmaster Music brand with Cruze & Breaks which has now seen a succesful debut vinyl release and rising profile of digital offerings. Not one to pigeon hole his abilitys, FRIKSHON is prided on his ability to cross genres, working at the highest level within all forms of underground dance music such as Hardcore Techno, Old Skool, Hard Dance and Nu Skool Breaks aswell as his primary love, UK Hardcore. Having worked for pretty much every major brand within the current UK Hardcore scene at some of the biggest and most high profile venues throughout the UK, and currently holding a highly respected residency at the mighty Uproar whilst buidling a vast array of followers along the way, the name FRIKSHON is now a main stay fixture within events large and small.
