Oceanis

We are Oceanis, a 5 piece metal band from Liverpool, UK. We five driven individuals with a passion for creating music that is bold, dynamic and above all, exceptionally heavy. Combining technical riffs, lifting choruses and sparing moments of clarity, we aim to bludgeon and sooth the listener. Drawing influence from bands such as Lamb Of God, Textures, Opeth, Gojira, Deftones and Mastodon, we put our all into everything we do in order to create the best possible music we can but always striving to do better. Our live shows always promise to be exciting and explosive. We have recently featured on USA based webzine, Pig Squeals and Breakdowns', June compilation CD & on the February 2014 Metal Hammer Magazine covermount CD. We also won 'Best Metal Band' at the Liverpool Musician Awards 2014. In 2011 we competed in, and won, the Liverpool Tattoo Conventions' Battle of the Bands. During June and July 2013 we competed in the Liverpool Metal to the Masses Battle of the bands competition and won 1st prize which was a place on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air. We have supported some great bands such as Hate Breed, SikTh, Raging Speedhorn, Deadcell, Silent Screams, Devil Sold His Soul, Feed The Rhino, Malefice and Carcer City and, in previous incarnations, Testament and Black Dhalia Murder.
