About Whatitdo.

Shit's Dope, the new full-length album by Reno instrumental group Whatitdo, takes the listener on a funk voyage. It's a sonic journey through a historical variety of music—it touches on James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Herbie Hancock, Tower of Power, Dr. Dre, Medeski Martin & Wood, and more. At the same time, the music is compulsively danceable, and so grandiose it might provide the perfect soundtrack for a killer roadtrip or, given the right headspace—maybe after a joint or two—it might even inspire the stationary listener to imagine some strange cinematic adventure. - Brad Bynum // Elephant Rifle Whatitdo. That is a statement in funk, not a question.
