Anatta

Formed during the fall months of 2011, Nate Kennedy (vocals) and Josh Scribner (drums) recruited friends Elias Avalos (bass) and Ryan McIntosh (guitar) to a jam session. Shortly after, Anatta was born. The band disbanded after playing four shows together. In February of 2014, original members Nate Kennedy and Joshua Scribner officially decided to rebirth Anatta with other Watertown NY natives Shane Lear (bass) and Dalton Sutton (guitar). In July of 2014, Anatta played their first show with the new line up outside their hometown. Later that Fall, they began recording their debut EP with their vocalist’s older brother, Jared Kennedy. Being able to uphold, preserve and expose the raw emotion of disturbing struggles within, the EP takes the listener through a recollection of common nightmares and struggles between several characters who all learn to detach themselves from certain stresses before they endure their own unescapable fate. Since the EP release in April of 2015, Anatta has shared the stage with several artists including Silverstein, Rarity, Boy Hits Car, Byzantine, Icubus, Motives and many others.
