When Matt Strutynski takes the stage, he brings with him a genuine, raw presence that is somehow both representative and rebellious to the Seattle music scene. Whether he is supporting Kris Orlowski or Nick Foster on bass, or owning the stage as front-man and main content writer for the Seattle's cornerstone rock and roll band, Van Eps, he consistently brings with him an energy, and vibrance that is engaging and sincere. In his newer 4 piece solo project, Matt uses his music as an avenue to express his personal, vulnerable biography. With songs that range between alt country, rock, and folk, Matt is not confined by any particular genre, but rather finds freedom in exploring the corners of his humanity and life experiences by way of his vast musical abilities.
