About Analog Dive
Hawaii born emcee Analog Dive was one of Hawaii’s best kept secrets, until he set foot on the mainland. He got his first taste of performing mostly freestyle sets, which was how he met Behasa, a friendship instrumental in production of Analog Dive’s first album “Fineprint”. An album that was nearly two years in the making, and features guest appearances from Mac Lethal, and local Hawaii emcees Splinta The Rat and Southern Cumiford. Born and raised on the Big Island he is no stranger to the ocean, a recurring theme throughout his early work. Blake’s unorthodox flow, at times harmonious, at others articulately rushed, mimics the same unpredictability of the ocean, no doubt a direct reflection of the love and appreciation for his Hawaiian and family roots. One can feel the emotion that comes with leaving a place of such beauty, familiarity and family in order to pursue his dream of reaching a much larger audience in Los Angeles California where he now resides. It was not long before he found himself a new family of creative individuals who shared his love for artistic expression and the Aloha spirit he exudes. 2011 marked a great beginning for Analog Dive, organizing and promoting LA Got Aloha and Ohana Tree. These events have grown from that first warehouse tucked away on Jefferson Blvd in Los Angeles to now making their home in Hollywood. LA Got Aloha celebrated its first year anniversary in 2012 with a sold out venue. People lined up at the 2012 Ohana Tree where he released the much-anticipated “Happy Endings” EP which sold all printed copies that night. The success of these events made it possible for Analog Dive to open up for Eligh of Living Legends, and to freestyle onstage with Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 at events that he himself organized. LA Got Aloha and Ohana Tree entail more than just musical performances. They are outlets for painters, photographers, chefs, lyricists, and DJ’s whom he works with tirelessly to ensure that they too have an opportunity to share their unique passions and perspectives. A truly humble artist, Analog Dive strives to reach the top, not by stepping over others but by collectively lifting each other up through collaborative efforts, the guiding principle behind every event, album, EP, or creative endeavor he is a part of. http://risingsonsind.com/artist/analog-dive
