Never Forsaken

Never Forsaken is a worship band with an uncommon vision: to serve and bless churches and organizations by removing the financial burden of hosting an outreach concert. Wherever the Lord opens a door, they do not hesitate but go, trusting the Lord to provide along the way. No matter where or when, whether acoustic/unplugged or full production, whether 10 people or 1000 people, Never Forsaken consistently delivers a spirit of worship through heart-wrenching truths both spoken and sung for an unforgettable worship experience. Never Forsaken’s name comes from Deuteronomy 31:6 - “...for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”. This verse has become the crux of the band’s ministry and spiritual journey as they have transitioned from playing local shows on weekends into a full time nationally touring music ministry, covering over 20 states. The seed for Never Forsaken was planted the summer of 2011, when husband and wife team Jim and Lois accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. At that time, they were already seasoned musicians, having spent years performing secular rock music in clubs and bars. They wanted to use their musical talents to serve the Lord, and once they realized they could do that with the rock music they loved, they stopped playing in bars and started their own music ministry; thus, Never Forsaken was born. The group’s debut eight-song CD, “The Journey Here”, was released in 2014 and contains a mixture of symphonic rockers, epic power ballads, and rambling tunes with a Southern rock vibe, reminiscent of the band’s rock roots. In June of 2015, Jim and Lois felt the calling to “step out of the boat” into full time touring music ministry. They both left their jobs, Jim as a high school teacher and Lois as a phlebotomist at the hospital, and started on a new journey with their trust fully in the Lord to fulfill the vision He has placed on their hearts.
