About Marriage Of The Decade
It’s actually a pretty cool story, but I’ll just give you the cliff notes for now, until we get drunk together. Tyler & Danny moved out here to Phoenix from our tiny-ass town in New Mexico. Shortly thereafter, we met up with Ruben, the sexiest man in the world, who we all happened to go to high school with, but didn’t meet until we all wound up out here. Crazy. Anyway, we made the move in September 2010, and started playing with Ruby around November/December. We decided to start fresh — absolutely no old riffs or beats — entirely new music, which is why it took us so long to send some news back home. Finally, we got a set together that we really liked (which is exactly what Carnivores, Pt. 1 is) and were able to book ourselves a show at The Rogue Bar in Scottsdale, which is a delightful, mildly divey Rock Pub, with Zach Grimes and Paulina Vo, two people who have a permanent place in our hearts because of it. Since then, we've managed to set up a nice string of shows around the area, which you can read about right here!: MarriageOfTheDecade.Tumblr.com (#Show Log). Tyler & Danny initially moved into a tiny little trailer in downtown Gilbert, which, if you've never been there, is like the farm & ranch capital of Arizona. The place was dubbed Party Trailer #7, and was the birthplace of some fun music and amazing memories. Now, a year and a half later, with our first EP out (for free, right here! Have you heard it? No? Then go download it now!... It's free!) the three of us are living together with our beautiful friend and unofficial band member, Adrian "2 Pumps" Michel, and one of our favorite girls and MotD Mascot, Sommer Rayne (that's her real name, I swear.) We're currently working on some really exciting new music, which will hopefully be a little less confusing than Carnivores. And if you have read these two giant blocks of text, it must mean you care at least a little bit, so thank you, and keep your eyes and ears open for the new leaf about to be turned over by this brand new band. Cool? Cool. Ride the wave.
